Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz is making its North American debut at ProMat 2015 (booth #5521) in Chicago, IL, with a focus on automating e-commerce fulfillment centers.  According to Anuj Kapuria, Director & CEO, representing the company at the huge material handling robotics event, “Order picking AGVs (automated guided vehicles) or robots are used to move ordered products to trailer-loading area for distribution. Distribution center (DC) operations managers must ensure these vehicles are capable of executing multiple paths and bus routes, possess safety features including safety-class bumpers and laser range sensors for obstacle detection. It is critical to have multi-vehicle coordination and optional intersection management. These “labor” workers must integrate with central MES (manufacturing execution systems).”

Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz is the only Indian Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) solution provider that has helped the manufacturing sector increase productivity multi-fold and work in a clean pollution-free environment. With more than 100 AGVs installed and commissioned in last three years for manufacturing applications for Engine Assembly, Kitting application, Mobile Assembly Stations, the company expanded warehousing solutions such as Mobile Case Flow System, Sortation Conveyors, Palletizing Solutions, and Truck Loading/Unloading Systems.

Kapuria graduated with a Master’s Degree in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburgh, PA after completing his Bachelors in Robotics and Automated Manufacture Engineering, from the School of Engineering, University of Sussex. He then worked as a researcher in CMU, successfully executing projects in 3D Object Recognition, Autonomous Vehicles, Terrain Mapping, and Face Recognition. He has also been a part of several U.S. Defense Projects.  During ProMat, Kapuria will share the company’s global pathway to successfully transforming path-breaking ideas into products, create custom-made solutions, and minimize time to market.

Kapuria recognizes that the omni-channel and e-commerce modalities of 24/7 same-day delivery require different automation solutions.  Kapuria is proud to be one of the global industry leading innovators to showcase the latest manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain equipment and systems during ProMat 2015. Over 800 exhibitors from industry, commerce, and government will display supply chain solutions and innovations on the 300,000 square foot show floor. ProMat attendees will discover the latest innovations learning the latest ideas driving productivity, attend more than 100 educational sessions, and build strong business partnerships with suppliers.
