SelfCAD Partners With Hancock Elementary School to Introduce 3D Technology to Their Students
The partnership aims to bring 3D technology to students through its Adopt-a-Campus Program, providing a 3D printer, software access, training, and STEM curriculum to inspire future innovators.
SelfCAD Partners With Hancock Elementary School to Introduce 3D Technology to Their Students
This partnership was made possible through the leadership of Kara Houston and Jennifer Christian, who aim to provide every child at Hancock Elementary with the opportunity to learn using 3D technology. In collaboration with Prince of Peace Church, SelfCAD is starting a year-long journey with the school, standing alongside its dedicated educators to support student success.
As part of the adoption, Hancock Elementary will receive:
A 3D printer
Full access to SelfCAD software for all students and teachers
Personalized training for educators
A complete project-based curriculum that ties into real-world STEM careers
Ongoing support from the SelfCAD education team to ensure seamless classroom integration
"This partnership will unlock imagination, build confidence, and equip kids with tools that will serve them. We believe in doing more than just saying we care- we're acting on it. This is just the beginning. Here's to investing in the future, one classroom at a time. Said Kara on LinkedIn."
Students at Hancock Elementary will now have the opportunity to design and print their own 3D models using 3D design software. Teachers will also have the opportunity to prepare teaching aids that enhance students' understanding of various subjects, especially STEM, and prepare them for future careers.
"We're excited to support the educators and students at Hancock Elementary. This partnership aligns with our mission to make 3D technology accessible to all learners and reflects our commitment to early exposure through hands-on, project-based learning. We look forward to demonstrating the value of 3D technology education that begins early, engages students, and connects to real-world applications. Said Jennifer Christian, Product Specialist / Operations at SelfCAD"
This initiative is part of SelfCAD's Adopt a Campus Program, which launched this month and is currently accepting applications. The program is designed to help schools, regardless of size or funding, bring 3D technology into every classroom. If you are a teacher or school administrator looking to introduce 3D technology to your students, you can apply for it at no charge.
