CHGT to Develop 3D Printing Educational Program for Schools and Colleges

With an eye towards potential future customers, Changing Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: CHGT) is considering putting together a 3D printing/additive manufacturing educational course for area schools.

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With an eye towards potential future customers, Changing Technologies, Inc. (OTCQB: CHGT) is considering putting together a 3D printing/additive manufacturing educational course for area schools.

"This course would give students a valuable head start on an important manufacturing process and artistic medium," said CHGT CEO Marco Valenzuela. "3D printing is here to stay, and its only got to get bigger as more technical advances are made. Wed like to work in conjunction with area high schools, trade schools and colleges to get students interested in 3D printing and give them some hands-on experience using the technology. This will not only give us positive publicity, but ultimately lead to new customers and revenues for our printing business and online portal."

Although analysts consider additive manufacturing/3D printing technology with the greatest ability to transform modern life and business, not many schools are yet offering education in the field. Some have set up printers for students to study, but dont offer courses on their use. The University of Alabama has reported considerable interest in and success with their 3D printing lab.

"With the growing surge of 3D printing, we expect schools will jump at the chance to partner with industry to help their students develop their knowledge and skills," Valenzuela said.

T.J. Davies' Retention Knobs

Our retention knobs are manufactured above international standards or to machine builder specifications. Retention knobs are manufactured utilizing AMS-6274/AISI-8620 alloy steel drawn in the United States. Threads are single-pointed on our lathes while manufacturing all other retention knob features to ensure high concentricity. Our process ensures that our threads are balanced (lead in/lead out at 180 degrees.) Each retention knob is carburized (hardened) to 58-62HRC, and case depth is .020-.030. Core hardness 40HRC. Each retention knob is coated utilizing a hot black oxide coating to military specifications. Our retention knobs are 100% covered in black oxide to prevent rust. All retention knob surfaces (not just mating surfaces) have a precision finish of 32 RMA micro or better: ISO grade 6N. Each retention knob is magnetic particle tested and tested at 2.5 times the pulling force of the drawbar. Certifications are maintained for each step in the manufacturing process for traceability.
